General Questions

BytVerge is a secure, professional-grade cryptocurrency wallet that allows you to store, send, receive, and manage your digital assets. We support over 10,000 cryptocurrencies and provide enterprise-level security features including military-grade encryption, biometric authentication, and cold storage integration. BytVerge is designed for both beginners and experienced crypto users who prioritize security and ease of use.
BytVerge is primarily a hot wallet with cold wallet-inspired security features. Your private keys are stored securely on your device using hardware security modules and secure enclaves. For users who want additional security, BytVerge also supports integration with hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor, allowing you to store the majority of your assets in cold storage while managing them through our interface.
BytVerge employs multiple layers of security to protect your assets. This includes AES-256-GCM encryption, secure enclaves for key storage, biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint), two-factor authentication, anti-phishing protection, 24/7 fraud monitoring, and multi-signature support. We also undergo regular security audits by leading cybersecurity firms and have achieved SOC 2 Type II certification.
Yes! During wallet setup, you'll receive a 12-word recovery phrase (also called a seed phrase or backup phrase). This phrase is the master key to your wallet and can be used to restore access on any compatible wallet. We strongly recommend writing down your recovery phrase and storing it securely offline. Never share it with anyone, as anyone with access to this phrase can control your funds.
No. BytVerge is a non-custodial wallet, which means your private keys never leave your device. We use secure enclaves and hardware security modules to generate and store your keys locally. Our servers only store encrypted metadata for syncing across devices - you always maintain complete control of your funds. This is one of the fundamental principles that makes BytVerge secure.

Supported Assets

BytVerge supports over 10,000 digital assets including all major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), BNB, Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), and more. We also support thousands of ERC-20 tokens, BEP-20 tokens, SPL tokens, and many other token standards across 50+ blockchain networks. Our support team continuously works to add new assets based on community demand.
Adding a custom token is easy! Navigate to the "Assets" tab in your wallet, click "Add Token," and either search for the token by name or paste the contract address. BytVerge will automatically detect the token standard, symbol, and decimals. If the token isn't supported, you can add it manually by providing the contract address, name, symbol, and decimal places.
Yes! BytVerge includes a built-in NFT viewer that supports ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens on Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains, as well as NFTs on Solana and other major chains. You can view your NFT collection, see detailed information about each token, and manage them directly from your wallet interface.

Transactions & Fees

BytVerge does not charge any fees for basic wallet operations like storing or managing your crypto. For transactions, you'll only pay the network fees (gas fees) required by the blockchain - the same fees you'd pay with any wallet. These fees go to blockchain validators, not to us. For swap services, there's a small liquidity provider fee (typically 0.1-0.3%) built into the exchange rate.
Transaction times vary depending on the blockchain network and current congestion. Bitcoin transactions typically confirm in 10-60 minutes, Ethereum in 1-5 minutes, while Solana and other high-throughput chains confirm in seconds. BytVerge automatically optimizes fee suggestions to balance speed and cost, and allows you to adjust fees for urgent transactions.
No. Cryptocurrency transactions are designed to be irreversible once confirmed on the blockchain. This is a fundamental characteristic of blockchain technology, not a limitation of BytVerge. Always double-check recipient addresses and amounts before confirming a transaction. We recommend sending a small test amount first when sending to a new address.
Unfortunately, if you send cryptocurrency to an incorrect address, it's likely gone forever. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. This is why BytVerge includes multiple verification steps, address book features, and QR code scanning to minimize errors. Always verify the full address character by character before sending large amounts.

Security & Recovery

If you suspect your wallet has been compromised, act immediately: 1) Transfer all remaining funds to a new wallet using your recovery phrase, 2) Contact our support team for guidance, 3) Report the incident to local authorities, and 4) Change any passwords associated with your email or device. Remember: BytVerge will NEVER ask for your recovery phrase, private keys, or 2FA codes via email, phone, or chat.
To enable 2FA, go to Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication. You can choose between authenticator apps (like Google Authenticator or Authy), hardware security keys (YubiKey), or SMS verification. We strongly recommend using an authenticator app or hardware key for the best balance of security and convenience. 2FA adds an extra layer of protection for accessing your wallet and authorizing sensitive actions.
The recovery phrase (also called seed phrase or backup phrase) is a 12 or 24-word phrase that serves as the master key to your wallet. It's generated using cryptographic standards (BIP-39) and can be used to restore access to your funds on any compatible wallet. Write it down on paper and store it in a secure location - ideally a bank safe deposit box or fireproof safe. Never store it digitally, screenshot it, or share it with anyone.
Yes! You can install BytVerge on multiple devices and sync your wallet using your recovery phrase. When you set up BytVerge on a new device, simply select "Restore Wallet" and enter your 12 or 24-word recovery phrase. Your transaction history and settings will sync automatically. For security, each device generates its own private keys while sharing the same public addresses.
